| The Hunter Arts Network, better known as HAN, is is a non-profit incorporated membership of artists, designers, jewelers and craft people from the Hunter.
HAN strives to facilitate the opportunities for promotion of member’s & their work through Art Bazaar, social media, our newsletter, blog and artist page on this website. Our key objectives are: * Art Bazaar (insurance included) – visit www.artbazaar.com.au Rising from the idea that Newcastle and the Hunter are FULL of creative people producing high quality art, craft and design-based work, Newcastle City Council spent some years facilitating the establishment of HAN to give representation to these people. HAN now works via a committee and sub committees to continually strive to improve activities of HAN and to ensure the shape and structure of HAN is relevant. Being a membership based organisation, the committee always requires feedback! HAN was incorporated in December 2005 and launched in February 2006 at the Newcastle Region Art Gallery. |
